Marlin Model 1888 .38 caliber lever action rifle. Serial number 20735, first year of production in 1888, only 5,000 of this model were made in their 4-year production run. 24" octagon barrel. Metal parts are an attractive untouched patina overall with much of the original blue finish on the barrel. Stocks are smooth with a light added finish, shows a few scattered handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
