C1840-60 percussion fullstock longrifle. 32-1/4" octagon barrel of about .32 caliber bore. Metal parts were lightly cleaned at some point, with some scattered pitting on the barrel and lock. A note inside the patchbox attributes it to J.J.Good, Nathaniel Oates, or Zebulon Schultz of Hampshire County, West Virginia. Stock has a light tiger stripe and has been refinished overall, shows some grain cracks behind and opposite the lock, and some long repaired slivers from the forearm edges, some of the repairs are chipped. Mechanically good with set triggers. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
