C1860 percussion halfstock muzzle loading rifle. 35-1/4" octagon barrel of about .40 caliber bore and 7/8" width. Trade lock marked "J.GOLCHER" in riband. Iron parts have a dark brown patina overall with a little light rust, other parts have a mellow patina. Nice original open sights. Curly maple halfstock has an attractive striped grain, shows expected wear and use, but is free of cracks and chips, with some minor handling marks from the years. Mechanically good with set triggers. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
