Wonderful Southern states associated "Poor Boy" style percussion fullstock rifle. 41-1/2" octagon barrel of about .42 caliber bore. Has southern features of being made without a buttplate and patchbox missing cover functioning as a "grease hole" in the stock, still holding some very old grease. Metal parts have a pleasing patina overall with some rust in the barrel breech area, and some expected erosion around the bolster. Stock is nicely decorated with vine carving on both sides of the forearm and on the cheek piece. Wood has a dark patina except where worn by the hands, expected handling marks, and two long slivers missing from each side of the forearm edge in forward portion. Hammer cocks as expected, but triggers don't always set and release it. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
