Springfield M1866 "Second Allin" .50-70 "trapdoor" rifle. Dated 1865 on lock. Metal parts have a light patina overall having been lightly cleaned in areas. Breech block is absent. Stock shows average wear and use overall with numerous minor marks from handling, free of cracks and chips except for some minor slivering to the cleaning rod channel edges. Left side of butt is stamped with small numbers 8407. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
