US M1903 Springfield rifle. Serial number 824994. Made in 1918, bearing a SA 2-30 dated barrel. Metal parts are very fine as arsenal refurbished. Stock is good, free of cracks, showing expected light to moderate handling marks and some minor chipping at the buttplate on the right side of the butt. Bore is clean and strong, being somewhat granular. Appears to be mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot. Before considering using this arm, we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith.
