C1850 percussion schützen target rifle by Johann Müller of Bern, Switzerland (1800–1866). Signed on lock in cartouches "J.MULLER A BERN". Serial number 109 on numerous metal parts. 33" octagon barrel of about .36 caliber bore, about 1-1/16" barrel width. Metal parts have an uneven brown patina with some light storage rust that hasn't been cleaned. Has nice target sights. Stock appears to have been lightly cleaned with a light added finish, has a couple tiny hairline cracks behind the lock, a small crack by the lock screw, and a small chip filled in on the right forearm edge just in front of the lock. Replacement wooden ramrod. Mechanically good with set triggers. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
