Swiss M1871 Vetterli rifle. Serial number 149232. Metal parts a plumb patina overall. Cleaning rod is absent. Stock has good cartouches in the butt, an old deep handling mark near the buittplate on the right side, and a lateral crack inside the cleaning rod channel that would be concealed by the installation of a rod. Wood overall has an old added finish with numerous minor handling marks. Action appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
