C1840-60 underhammer rifle marked on top of barrel "TURNER.LULL&CO/WOODSTOCK VT." 32" octagon barrel of .50" bore. Metal parts have an untouched patina overall with some pitting around the nipple and scattered dings from handling and vice usage. Interesting brass reinforcing plates at front of wrist. Walnut butt stock has sweeping wrist, shows average wear and use with minor handling marks and a crack at top of wrist. Nicely shaped inlay in the left side of butt. Ovoid patch box in right side of butt. Nice brass triggerguard with interesting reinforcement for large screw. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
