Whitney-Kennedy .44-40 lever action rifle. Serial number R364. 24" round barrel. Rifle is equipped with premium factory sights, including large folding tang sight with elevation-adjustable eye cup, buckhorn rear sight on barrel, and folding round front sight. Metal parts have a dark untouched patina with overall scattered pinprick patina. Loading gate, magazine plug at muzzle, and one screw are missing from right side of frame, one screw on left side of frame is an antique replacement. Tang sight has a slight bend and front sight is bent out of round. Stocks are smooth from even wear and use, shows some minor handling marks scattered and some little "flea bites" in the left forearm edge that show wear. Appears mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
