Winchester M1886 .45-70 lever action rifle. Serial number 22300, made in 1887. Octagon barrel shortened to 20" long, bore shows erosion but still defined rifling. Built with carbine buttplate, adjustable rear buckhorn sight, and single set trigger. Expertly applied hot blue finish on metal parts with a couple tool marks near muzzle of barrel. Stocks are very good with light refinish but still proud to metal. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
