Winchester M1895 sporting rifle. Serial number 39134, made in 1902. Barrel marked 30 US (.30-40 Krag). 28" barrel, bore is fair with uninterrupted rifling that shows some wear from use. Equipped with Lyman front and adjustable peep rear sight, Williams receiver mount with Lyman "All American" 4X scope. Metal parts have considerable original blue finish, wearing through to silver, but with particularly strong sections on the frame and lever, which show some scratches. Buttstock with crescent buttplate, may have been lightly cleaned but only shows minor handling marks. Schnabel forearm with ebony tip insert and one small crack on the right side of the tip. Ships to FFL dealer. Appears to be mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot. Before considering using this arm, we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith.
