Fine quality triggerguard swing lever double barrel damascus shotgun by prominent Liege gunmaker Jean-Baptiste Ronge. Marked on barrel rib "J. B. RONGE FILS A LIEGE". 30" barrels, 12 gauge. Extensively engraved in finely executed arabesque patterns. Metal parts are generally sharp and show little use, has some case color finish on locks and frame, blue on triggerguard, and fine brown damascus pattern on barrels. Left hammer spur was nicely repaired, has good matching color and appearance, only being readily apparent by the lack of knurling. Stock is good with a nice, dense feel, has numerous minor handling marks, nice checkering in wrist and forearm, a couple small chips and a small sliver in the forearm edge. Thick, high quality checkered horn buttplate is very good with a few small insect marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
