"R.P.BRUFF", as marked on locks, fancy double barrel percussion shotgun. Also marked "LONDON FINE TWIST" on barrel rib in a fancy riband. 30-1/2" barrels of 12 gauge bores. Wonderful engraved german silver patchbox with perched American spread eagle. Nicely engraved metal parts including raised vignette on triggerguard of a hunter afield. Metal parts have a brown patina overall with brown twist finish apparent on the barrels. Right hammer is an antique replacement, ramrod is also an antique replacement that is a little undersized for the ramrod pipes. Stock is nicely checkered in the wrist and forearm, has an original violin finish that shows minor scratches from over the years, a little very minor age checking near the buttplate, and a minuscule chip at the front of the lock on the left side. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
