Fancy English double barrel shotgun by Hewson. Marked on each lock "HEWSON" and on barrel rib "HEWSON LONDON". 30" barrels, about 16 gauge bore. Nicely engraved metal parts and faded twist finish on barrels with a medium to dark patina overall. Top barrel rib is slightly lifted at breech. Stock is very good, nicely checkered at wrist, showing scattered worn scratches from use and a couple minuscule nicks to the barrel tang and lock mortise edges. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
