Sharps and Hankins Navy carbine with very fine original leather. Serial number 8646. Well-marked on both sides of frame. Metal parts have a pleasing medium patina. Leather cover shows small marks from over the years, all of the stitching is intact except for a couple stitches at the frame, the finish is nice and smooth aside from where it was rubbed at the base, and the covering is gently pulled away from the left screw. Walnut buttstock is very good, showing some minor handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
