Early flintlock longfowler with Ketland & Co trade lock. Early 45-3/4" round barrel with "two stage" ring transitions. Marked at breech with British proof marks and an early maker mark that may be "IH". Metal parts are partially cleaned and partially in patina. Lock is absent frizzen spring and internal parts, one lock screw is absent. Stock appears to have been done later, but with an early butt profile. Wonderful handmade early American triggerguard with early curled trigger. Ramrod is a replacement that is too short. Stock may have been lightly refinished, has a small crack in the right side of the wrist, has a long filled sliver in front of the triggergard, small filled circle in left side of forearm, a filled sliver to right side of ramrod channel, and a couple forearm chips. Does not function mechanically. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
