Fancy C1750 flintlock halfstock fowler. 46" barrel with flat rib and breech ornamentation. Nicely sculpted buttplate with grotesque face on tang and small grotesque face on triggerguard. Wrist escutcheon with human profile, triggerguard with dragon heads and human profile. Metal parts have a light coloration overall with minimal scattered pitting. Stock is beautifully grained, possibly of walnut, nicely border carved around various parts. Wood is cracked in the lock area that shows slight wiggle when moved. Wonderfully shaped ramrod with interesting cleaning jag on opposite end and unique ramrod pipes. Functions mechanically but trigger will release hammer from half cock. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
