C1780-1800 flintlock fullstock longfowler. Marked on lock "T. KETLAND & Co", and on barrel "LONDON" with British proofs. Appears to be original with top jaw, jaw screw, and frizzen face restored with reproduction parts. 47-3/4" round barrel with flat top at breech, bore of about 0.54" diameter. Untouched patina overall, having some pitting in the barrel breech area. Brass parts are almost black with patina. Muzzle of barrel has a little mortise for a front sight, which is absent. Replaced ramrod. Stock is very good, showing scattered light marks from use with a couple more moderate dings, small sliver to left of barrel tang and on each side of the tip of the forearm. Mechanically good but mainspring is not especially strong, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
