Austrian M1854 Lorenz percussion musket. Dated 861 (1861) on lock. Metal parts have uncleaned patina overall with overall pitting that is heavier in the barrel breech and buttplate. Stock surfaces are somewhat rough from handling and storage, has a crack behind the lock, by front lock screw, and in front of buttplate tang. There is some slivering to the ramrod channel, a sliver missing above front of lock, and some small chips behind barrel tang. Ramrod, rear sight, and lower sling swivel are absent. Functions mechanically except trigger does not spring forward after releasing hammer, causing hammer to not cock unless trigger is reset manually. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
