British 3rd Model Brown Bess officer's fusil musket. 37" barrel of about 0.61" bore. Untouched "attic mint" condition overall. TOWER-GR marked lock, proofed barrel, and nicely proofed stock with "BO" and broad arrow marking. Metal parts have an untouched patina overall with some pitting around the bolster. Nose cap and sling swivels are absent. Stock is good with an old added finish, expected marks from handling, a couple cracks in the lock mortise secured long ago with nails, associated with a small sliver from the lock mortise, small crack by rear side screw, and small worn chip from recoil behind the barrel tang. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
