Austrian M1854 Lorenz rifled musket. Shortened in a Confederate style to 32" barrel with stock shortened correspondingly to 2-band configuration with sufficient muzzle length to mount a bayonet. Slope-sided front sight, long range rear sight missing elevator. Metal parts are untouched with scattered pitting, sling swivels absent, interesting sheet brass repair to forearm, nice original ramrod. Stock may have been lightly cleaned, has some chipping around the heel of the buttplate, a crack around the wrist, and some wear to the ramrod channel. Hammer spur is broken off. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
