scarce 1861 dated M1861 Springfield percussion rifled musket. Matching dates on lock and barrel. Metal parts are polished to restore original "in the white" configuration, the process causing the markings to be somewhat faded. Stock is lightly sanded to restore smooth surfaces, has a few minor handling marks, and some minor chipping to the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
