Colt M1860 Army revolver, serial number 96290 all matching on barrel, frame, triggerguard, butt, cylinder, and wedge. Standard military marks with inspector marks on metal parts and grips. Good markings on metal parts throughout. Metal parts are a medium gray overall with some scattered light pitting, still has a good cylinder scene, and light yellow brass triggerguard. Wood grips are very good with readable cartouches on both sides, worn a little more on the right side as one would expect from holster wear, shows some light marks from handling and use with some small worn corner nicks, and butt carved out to install a lanyard ring around the frame, as is often seen on Civil War revolvers, and strongly suggesting it was really intended to be fired on horseback. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
