Hammond's patent "Bulldog" single shot .44 rimfire caliber single shot derringer by the Connecticut Arms & Manufacturing Company of Naubuc, Connecticut. Standard markings with additional scarce "BULL - DOZER" marking on left side of barrel. Novel action that swings open to the side for loading. Standard 4" barrel. Metal parts are in nickel finish that is dull from age and worn through in spots. Checkered hard rubber grips are very good, showing expected wear and use, but free of cracks and chips. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
