French M1763 Gendarme style flintlock pistol. 5" barrel of about .62 caliber bore. Metal parts have a mottled Sant-and-pepper patina with minor scattered pitting. Marked on lock Maubeuge. Flash hole in barrel has been rebushed with platinum. Stock is very good overall, showing average wear and use, has some slivers missing from the forearm edges and scattered expected handling marks. Has a small chip behind the barrel tang. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
