US M1836 flintlock pistol by Johnson, 1840. A quality reconversion to flintlock. Metal parts have a salt-and-pepper coloration overall with light scattered pitting. Reproduction captive loading rod. Stock is nicely cartouched opposite lock, having a smoothly worn appearance overall, has a small crack by the rear lock screw, a long sliver missing below lock, and some eroded wood behind the hammer from powder burn. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
