C1700 flintlock belt size muzzleloading pistol. Very early features of bottom entry barrel screw and flashpan without supporting link for frizzen. 5-1/2" round barrel with decorative rib, bore of about .50 caliber. Metal parts are cleaned with an even light pitting on lock and barrel. Triggerguard is absent with a piece of an early replacement remaining. Fancy stripe grained stock is fair, nicely carved, has cracks in the triggerguard area and a sliver missing from the right side of the forearm. Action is worn but mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
