C1820-40 flintlock long rifle. 43" moderately heavy round barrel of about .55 caliber smooth bore. Engraved unmarked trade lock. Barrel embellished with star decoration around breech and punch dot decoration around rear sight and muzzle face. Metal parts have dark uncleaned patina overall with minimal pitting in the barrel breech area. Stock is plain maple or cherry, slim butt has a nice early drop, wood shows handling marks with average wear, has a couple grain cracks to the butt. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
