English Martini Henry rifle

British Martini-Henry single shot military rifle. Marked on left side of frame with two crests, serial number 9129 and "MARTINI'S PATENT", barrel marked on left side with British proofs, "HENRY'S PATENT A&T 3531". Metal parts have a light to medium gray patina overall, with some scattered pitting, mostly on buttplate. Missing ramrod, rear sight replaced with American 45-70 rifle sight. Stock very good, smooth from wear with some light to moderate handling marks. Has seven decorative copper tacks in the comb of the butt and three in the wrist just behind the receiver. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
