Unique C1850 in-line action percussion muzzleloading target rifle. 30-1/4" barrel, including false muzzle. Globe front sight, large peep rear sight with detents in barrel labeled for elevation (elevator missing), and tang peep sight adjustable for elevation and windage. Number 3 over 59 on bottom of frame, no other markings. Novel inline action with cocking lever reminiscent of a semi auto action. Hammer utilizes triggerguard for spring tension. Barrel is part octagon, part round with a .48 caliber bore and a 1.5" outer barrel width. Stock appears to be of oak with a very attractive tight tiger striped grain, is free of structural problems, but has numerous grain cracks, a couple of which are heavier than others. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
