extrafancy Swiss percussion jaeger rifle. Lock is signed in script in French, "Manufre de pont d'able", or Able Bridge Manufactory. Extensively inlaid butt with engraved brass flowers. 28" octagon barrel of about .60 caliber bore, having a width of about 15/16" and a swamped (flared) muzzle about 1-3/16". Metal parts have been cleaned with a light patina and scattered pitting overall. Brass tipped ramrod will not come out. Heavy upper sling swivel present, lower sling swivel absent. Stock is heavily restored, cut and pieced in the lock area and loose, various pieces replaced. Action functions, but front trigger is a makeshift replacement. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
