SOLD - Springfield M1888 .45-70 "trapdoor" rifle with rod bayonet. Serial number 508203. Well marked including stock cartouche dated 1890. Metal parts have a medium to dark patina overall with scattered light storage rust. Stock shows light wear and use overall with scattered marks from handling and some impressions of the front band forward of its resting point. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
