Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle. Serial number 138320, made in 1905. 24" barrel, 33 W.C.F. caliber. Bore is somewhat dark with strong rifling that shows some granularness and some grunge that didn't brush out or scattered pitting. Medium to dark gray-brown patina overall with lighter patina on wear points, and some tool marks approximately 10" from the muzzle. Marbles rear sight, knurled pattern hammer, steel crescent butt plate. Buttstock and forearm show average handling with shallow dents and scratches, has some deeper narrow gouges in the left side of the butt that were filled, and the wood overall lightly sanded. Comes with a Cody Museum email confirming features. Ships to FFL dealer or C&R license holder where eligible. Appears to be mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot. Before considering using this arm, we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith.
