Winchester Model 1892 lever action rifle. Serial number 328305, made in 1906. 24" round barrel, full magazine, 38W.C.F (.38-40) caliber. Fine bright bore. Has a light to medium patina overall. Knurled pattern hammer, steel crescent butt plate and forearm nose cap. Left side of receiver has two small screw plugs for a peep sight mount. Stock has an attractive coloration, shows some added finish with scattered minor handling marks, and an old chip missing from heel of butt by buttplate tang. Comes with email correspondence from Cody museum. Ships to FFL dealer or C&R license holder where eligible. Appears to be mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot. Before considering using this arm, we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith.
